GlennRN (56 posts) Jan-27-00, 03:59 AM (Pacific) "Baldaurs Gate" I have read yeas and nays on this game so I waited and traded a friend MM7 for it about 2 Months ago. I have to say it was ponderous at first, especially the magic system which I still use little of. I have played the game through once without a walktrough or hacks and am now using both to basically annihallate everthing and everyone. I really hate the movement system if you have more than 3 companions its damn near impossible to navigate some of the dungeons. The ranged weapons are the way to go and if you can find (or hack in) good arrows and some oil of firey burning. It is a lot of fun to wipe out an entire town with getting a scratch except when you blow yourself up which I do often. If you do decide to play be sure to get a thief (Iomen) in your party. "RE: Baldaurs Gate" Although I'm not the biggest fan of Baldur's Gate, if MM7 was anything like MM6, I would have to say you got the better end of the deal I was into the game for a while, in fact I got all the way to Baldur's Gate, basically doing everything along the way, and then I sorta just got bored of it and haven't touched it since. I guess I kinda like to give every game I come across a good thorough run through before I come to a final conclusion. Maybe some day I'll even go back and finish it. btw, dunno about anyone else, but I found the AI do be idiotic, considering the fact that you can just put the beat down with missile weapons alone.
