"Certain Items In Wiz 6- Important!!!"
Yesterday, it was the first time i have finished Bane of the Cosmic Forge (i must admit i did it with the help of a walkthrough, since most lawyers like me haven't got the time or freedom of mind to devote to such difficult RPG's).Anyway, the reason i played Bane is that i wanted to import a stronger party into Wiz 7 and then hopefully, a much stronger party in Wiz 8 when it finally comes out(seems i'm one of the optimists, like most people in this forum). Also i wanted to start the Wiz 7 game with much stronger armor than the basic one and possibly most of the super-weapons the game provides. So my party in Bane consists of :

M-Gn-Lord
M-Fae-Ninja >
M-Moo-Samurai
F-Fel-Valkyrie
M-Elf-Monk
F-Raw-Monk

All of these characters have been through a second spellbook, have aquired ninjutsu and kirijutsu, and the same formation is also gonna be in the end of Wiz 7, mainly because that's the perfect party for my kind of play. Also in Wiz 7 i plan to go through the rest 2 spellbooks, so all of them become Uber-Casters
(look for your german dictionary, ok?) Talking about a total exploit of changing professions, huh?
I also decided that i do not need any super armor transported from Wiz 6 to 7 (with a possible exception described below). I also want them to carry all these special regeneration & AC Misc. items (meaning 2 diamond rings for my gals, Cameo Locket, Garland of roses, Ring of stars)
After a little experimenting with transferred parties, i have found the highest AC armor that can be transported. These are :

Fighters,Lords,Valkyries - Plate mail, Plate Greviere, Helm&Coif, Copper gloves, Solleret
Samurais - Studded Hauberk, Stud Chausses, Kabuto, Cuir Gauntlets, Buskins.
Ninjas - All Garbs
Monks - Scullcap, Robes, Sandals (sorry, only the basics here..)

I did not experiment with Bard and Ranger Armor, since i use these 2 proffesions as steps to higher ones (now that i think about it, maybe i should transfer their armor in Wiz 7, too)
All these items (along with all smaller AC Armor items, like Wizard's Cone, Leather Boots and Phrygian Cap) are 100% transferred in Wiz 7, even when not equipped, but just carried with. Also, the rod of sprites is not considered special as weapon, and will be tranferred without being equipped by any character in any quantity.
The super items i decide to transfer to Wiz 7 (which must be equipped) are :
Lord - Excaliber
Ninja - Faerie Cap (the exception)
Samurai - Muramasa Blade
Valkyrie - Maenad's Lance
Monk - Zatoichi Bo
Monk - Cat o' nine Tails

From all these items i have acquired only the 3 of them. I still haven't found the Excaliber, the Faerie cap and the Z-Bo. I also didn't find the garland of roses anywhere. A brief search on the internet revealed that the weapons are randomly acquired through chests. But i did not find anything about the Garland or the Faerie Cap. So i was wondering if anyone has decoded the chests in Wiz 6 in order to track down which ones have a possibility producing the weapons and/or the Garland and the Faerie cap.
Where exactly can we find these four items in Bane?
I would like to thank everyone reading that long post which is something between Info Shared and Info Wanted. Hope my little observations about transferred items help lots of the forum visitors, and i also hope i get some answers about hese special items, which are really possible to be transferrable from Wiz 7 to 8....

I'm afraid you misunderstood random monster droppings for chests. Special items like the Excaliber, Zatoichi Bo, Garland of Roses and the Faerie Cap are most likely found by defeating Greater Demons or Pit Fiends in the Temple of Ramm.
If you want to stay "legal", all you can do is fight, fight, fight, hope, hope, hope
It's probably more convenient to search the Gorror Chests for Excaliber and the Bo, the Faerie Cap can be found in the Tower of Dane and the Rattkin Ruins (I'm not quite sure about this, but you will stumble over one eventually) and the Garland of Roses isn't that great anyway.

2. "Schprecken zie Bane :?"
I doubt I spelled "Schprecken" right

If Bane is like CoDS (I won't even guess - I've been wrong on that question too many times before), in the treasures aspect, then Fab would be right - treasure is treasure, whether found in a chest, in an alcove, by searhing underwater, answering the riddle correctly or from monster/NPC droppings.

For instance, the list of "treasures" in Wiz 7 includes everything from the coins and beans you find in Munkharama, to the list of treasures possible when fighting any monster/NPC.

But as for the same info coming out of Wiz 6, I'm not too interested right now in doing that, right now anyway.

In fact it's "Sprechen"...
Well, i wouldn't call it a top priority, but for the sake of Wizardry exploring (or is it like the film "Boxing Helena"?)u should look into it, whithin, let's say.... The next 2 years?

Haven't done this, but isn't there a trick to get the diamond ring. As I recall rings, stix, and acessories often make it. These are worth bucks as well as useful in the early major encounters.

yes there is a trick to get Diamond Rings. Look up the FAQs on sotwarespecailties.com website It will be very helpful in answering what items transfer to CoDS and how to get the diamond rings.

Well, dear Professor, if we look close enough, we'll find the word "chest" and not the word "treasure" in the text above. You won't ever find Excaliber, Zatoichi Bo etc. in a chest anywhere in Bane. Of course you may call it a treasure and you may also call monster droppings a treasure and you will be able - if you endure long enough - to find these treasures - but not in a chest. And there's no exact location to find these items, sorry.
As I have stated above, Pit Fiends and Greater Demons casually drop very good weapons, the Priests of Ramm are known to carry Glass Slippers now and then. Others I don't know, but the only chance to acquire these items in Bane are long expeditions to the Temple of Ramm.

As you have discovered, transferring stuff from Bane to Wiz7 is hit-and-miss. They need to trim your parties firepower and armor just to make Wiz 7 challenging. All of what you want can be found in Wiz 7, except the Garland Of Roses. Except for the Mystery Menus, it never appears anywhere. Excalibur and Zatoichi Bo appear in the Gorrors chests. The Fairy Cap can be found in Dionyceus (the level with the fireballs and the chrome gate, in the chest nearest to the floors entrance) and also in Dragon Mountain in the room with the 4 chests, I think.

See some of the discussions on the Wiz 7 board about the merits of 1 two-handed versus 2 1-handed weapons. A lot of people (including me) don't make much effort to acquire or use Excalibur.

11. "EXCALIBER..."
...doesn't work for me, except as a mystery menu "magic extender". I use certain weapons like Blades of Aesir, Faust Halberds, Vulcan Hammers, for their spells, in combat. Fireballs/lifesteal/iceballs and so forth. And, of course, all my characters carry a fully charged (99 level 6 nukes!) thermal pineapple. (Even if you don't use the dread Replication Process, you do recharge the Umpani fruit BEFORE omletizing those spider eggs, don't you? It's perfectly legal to do so!)

A good and much overlooked weapon is Fang. And it invokes a strength increase, too!

It is possible to transfer ebony plate U&L and hi kane do the lowest ac armor for samuries, however you must give up the "super" weapons since only one or the other will transport per person.
