"Wiz 1 Items"
My bishop identified a ring as the "Ring of Death". I know that it is cursed, but that is all that I know about it. I looked at Snafaru's web site and saw a "Deadly Ring" which is also cursed.
Are these items the same with their names changed?
How would I determine the regeneration of an item?
When do you notice that an item has regeneration, either negative or positive? I walked around with the ring of death equipped and nothing seemed to happen to my character.

What is the Decay of an item?
I identified an item as the "Rod of Flames" and Snafaru's web site states that this rod has a "Decay 10%(mahalito)".

Do any miscellaneous items is Wiz1 have AC reductions?

Thanks
HBK21GOD

Deadly Ring and Ring of Death are the same thing...Just depends whether you are playing on the Apple version or Nintendo version...DO NOT EQUIP IT...Instead, sell it to Boltac for 250,000 gp.

Decay of an item means that that is its chance of breaking each time you use it...For example, Rod of Flame (or Mahalito) has a 10% chance (or decay) each time you use it...This is not a cumalitve percentage...I've used a Rod of Flame over a dozen times before it breaks...and I've used it once and had it break.

Hope this helps!

In the Apple version of Wizardry I (I don't know about the other versions), the Deadly Ring has a -3 regeneration attribute (that's 'minus' 3). This means that under normal circumstances if you walk around equiped with it your hit points should go down until you die! BUT !!!! There is a computer glitch/programming issue/error/bug/whatever that prevents this feature from working.

On the other hand you have the Ring of Healing and the Lord's Garb that have a regeneration attribute of +1 which heals the character's hit points while he/she is walking around with them equipped. Note: You have to actually move around in the maze, if you stand still it will not work.

To answer another one of your questions: The only item in the 'Miscellaneous' category that have an AC reduction is Werdna's Amulet for a factor of 10, but as you know, you have to give that Amulet away when you climb back to the Castle.
