Lady_Adrexia (309 posts) Mar-31-01, 04:35 PM (Pacific) "Help finding a Longtooth" And what the heck is it?? I have almost completed the Skull Castle. I finished the "skull" and the island and only remembered about the Longtooths when the pirate--what's his name-- reminded me about them. I turned aound and started walking away when I was attack by a few of them. Mystery over. In my game anyway. You are coming up on a very interesting part of the game. Tell me please. I killed about 4 of them already, but no skin...unless you count the eggs that I have collected from them. I wonder if he will give me the map without the skin?? I haven't gotten any rebreathers yet? I have only found 5 of the shells and am planning on going crab hunting today, so that I can get the rest. Finding 4 more shells isn't going to be a picnic. But I don't wanna try spelling everyone...and I have plenty of cash...so I will be patient. So are you going to replay the game? I will after we complete it...then I will head back to Valeia...stop by and hack a few characters off that I left alone before. Like the Nosfartu chicks, the Stout King...etc. Then hit restart adventures and change my characters into new jobs...like a Barbarian, Samurai, Ninja, Warlock...etc.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Longtoothless Island" Well if I recall the area correctly, Longtooths are cat-like and, when dispatched, drop a skin in the same way the raptor drop eggs. I never did anything with the eggs. Part of a quest or potion?? Dino-omelets back at the Inn?? My friend and I went through the under water part with only one PC alive. Of course this was a Priest. There does not seem to be any penalty for resurection in W&W, so what the heck. Replay? Hmmm....Only after I'm done with W8. I found the W&W world to be a bit sterile. I don't want to be too negative, but it seemd to me that once you are through with an area you can discard it. No need to return. The villages were not really "there". Might as well have been text. IMO. When I started W7 again my first big battle was (2) *DOOM*. This was by far a greater battle and challenge than Cet. After I went to the Gorrors I decided that I needed two of my PC's to change jobs, so I did that and went to the BG in the Lesser Wilds. There I battled two Godzilli (sp?) and won. These are/were more epic than the Champions and Cet of W&W so I have little interest at this time to start over. I did save my last 7 save games. I might reset the game as you say and try again. Lady_Adrexia (309 posts) Apr-02-01, 03:20 PM (Pacific) 4. "Found the Longtooth(s)" Actually they found me. I was attacked by about 10 of them in Anephas's Shrine...not all at once mind you, but 10 to be sure. I now have 8 skins to give to Taltric. I also have enough rebreathers to make it to the Collesium. Must have been my day to play, because I got attacked by 4 Crab of the Seas at the same time and they all dropped shells. So now we have enough. Ahhh, but it would be fun to kill everything that isn't needed once you get finished. Then go up a few levels and then, hit "Restart Adventures" and play it again. I am excited about becoming a Valkrie and I do like this game and will probably play it a few more times. I will worry about Wizardry 8 (WHEN and IF), it comes out in July. I have heard that song before and am not really concerned if I get it this year or not. I am still at Munkarama, so it will be awhile before I finish. Maybe I will take my Sims for a spin. Marc (33 posts) Apr-05-01, 09:42 AM (Pacific) 5. "Collesium" M'Lady, Have you made it to the underwater city? I would like to know how you are doing. Are you trying to keep all your PC's alive? I didn't bother. I gave the Staff of Doom (or whatever it is called) to my Priest and cast breath on himself. Lady_Adrexia (309 posts) Apr-07-01, 05:30 AM (Pacific) 6. "RE: Collesium" Just started the Collesium last night. I gave the staff to my Mage. I had to head back to town, because I forgot to buy the rebreathers that go with the helms, but I made it through half of the Collesium without killing anyone or drowning them. Did your priest ever learn "Breath of Air" spell. That helps keep everyone breathing. I go to the rooms that still have air alot as well. Or head to Sariella...talking to her keeps you oxygen level from rising. Not having any problems...and using the rebreathers with the helms helps more than just the helms by themselves. How did you kill off most of your party?? You scared me so bad that I waited a few days before starting the Collesium...but then once I got there...it was a piece of cake.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Marc (33 posts) Apr-07-01, 09:10 AM (Pacific) 7. "Breathers" Well I guess that I did not get into the game far enough to learn that is equipment in addition to the mask to make the journey easier. I just used one mask on my Priest. The rest of my PC's ummm... drowned. Yes he learned the "Breath of Air" spell before going down. He only had to cast it on himself. Not meaning to scare you on this issue. I guess I did not "talk" to enough people to know the correct way to go about it. Sounds like you have it figured out. Lady_Adrexia (309 posts) Apr-08-01, 10:44 AM (Pacific) 8. "RE: Breathers" Your welcome...just about to get offline and finish the Collesium. Here is a hint for all: In order to use the rebreathers...you have to unequip your shield or second weapon, because that is where the rebreather goes. They add weight (alot) to your equipment and goodies weight.
