"Scabban Quest"
Well, I went and got the quest to see what happened to Scabban. I read the mini-walkthru that came with the game and it said to chat with him and then you could put him out of his misery. I did that and now I cannot get the credit for the quest. Damn!! I have gotten the rest of the quests for the Wizard, just cannot get the credit for that one.

Also, I pushed a button in Scabban's torture chamber/workroom and would like to know what opens and closes when you push on it. I have walked around and around for awhile now and don't notice what is opened. HELP!!

I at at Ish'Naha and walking through the Serpent Temple trying to complete it. Try to go to Shurigan Castle and found the damn Mantraps. How the hell do you defeat those nasty things?? By the way, most of my characters are level 7, and all of them are enrolled in a guild...except for the Thief. Where is the Theives Guild?

So far, I like the game. In fact, yesterday I played it for almost 16 hours straight. Good thing that the hubby is in Daytona, or he would be kicking me in the butt. Well, as I cannot think what else to ask...I am off to play W&W again. By the way, the only complaint is the PUTL dance...but it is just a nuisance that is easily fixed by lining up in front of the thing that I want.

1. "RE: Scabban Quest"
Well (again this is heresay) you only have to enter his lab and return once he is vanquished, to complete the quest on subsequent trips.

I think that lever opens the grate below the hole in his chamber, to allow you to swim out.

As for the Mantraps, that is where I was when I gave up. I found I could sneak up on them and fire everything I had from a distance, before they eventually turned my way. I think I defeated one, one time. Given the reload time (and the reload point, limited saved games, ...) it was kind of prohibitive to use the try, try again approach. The Thieves guild is not in the first city, but is in (all?) susequent cities. I am sure there is one there in the second city.

2. "Spoilers and such"
Spoilers....... of a sort...

I think that you have to talk to Scabban, go back to who ever told you to do that and THEN kill him. I messed up on that one too.

The button in Scabban's room opens the gate in the bottom of the pool in the room directly below on the next level.

Man Traps !! I could not handle them in a real scrape. I had to cower on the other side of the field "just in range" and fry them. Wait to you meet their cousins INDOORS where you can't really use distance to your advantage.

Good luck.

BTW: The patch will take care of most of the PUTL dancing.

3. "not the lever"
Not the lever behind Scabban...I found that before I hacked him off. If you go into the room before reaching him, there are chains on the wall, broken furniture, etc. There is a small button in the dark corner...I push it and I can hear a door opening.

I guess I am the only one that found the small button in the previous room. Well, I pushed it, but I cannot find anything that it opened. Drat!!!

Well, the next time that I play from the beginning...I won't kill him until after I get credit for the Quest. Right now, there is no way that I am going back to the beginning again. Screwed I am!!

6. "RE: not the lever"
The button opens a passage on the floor above that takes you across the water to a couple of chests including that one you can see but not get to . Sorry I can't think of how to describe the room that you are in when you see the chest on a ledge above you.

7. "I found it..."
I had to restart from the beginning, because I never got the key from the Inquisitor to open H'Thark's prison door and I never got my quest with Scabban completed.

So after re-rolling everyone from the beginning and restarting. On a side note...it you hit restart and not re-roll your characters, they can start at whatever lever that they are. I thought that was unfair, so I re-rolled as well.

Well, anyway...found three more secret buttons in the crypt (upper part), they are at the places where there are coffins and I got a few more chests with goodies. Once I activated all the buttons there, when I got to the lowest part of the crypt, I clicked on that button and when I looked out I could see a room open up. I walk around and looked at all the rooms again and found my passageway to that chest that I never could get too.

I am now back at the Serpent Temple...slowly looking for secret buttons behind crates and stuff. And I killed (actually the door killed) the Inquisitor and he had the key, a wand and a book. I am going to find out what they do...
