I seem to have lost the icon that lets one say "pretend I read all of these." Am I blind, stupid, or both?

It looks more like you lost your login (with that 'guest' appelation). If you aren't logged in, it doesn't know who *you* are, thus which message *you* have read.

the thread u've linked here reminded me one thing - what is that "-ur" thingie??
and one more - why do guests have number of posted messages?is it calculated per nick or per ip?

3. "A few answers"
"-ur" was something I added, in the previosu version, to noted "un-registered" users. In the current version, that is now "(Guest)".

It is (I believe) calculated by nickname.
