"The Wizardry book(s?)."
Has anyone read the Wizardry book? Is there only one book or a series of them? The one I read was about some Crimson group or something (been a while but I was reading the Harpers series again and I just recalled it) about a guy that travels to the Wizardry realm. Are there more books to the series or was it just a one book deal?

Also, does everyone that plays RPG's also read books? I seem to find that people that play real RPG's (Diablo? Huh!) tend to also read like mad and at one time or another played some D&D. I know that the reading is easier to do so I'm guessing that 99% of all RPG players read fantasy books and around 75% have played D&D.

Does anyone know what the stats on these are? Just random thoughts that occur in my over-active brain.

The only English Wizardry book I've found is called "Wizardry : The League of the Crimson Crescent" (there's many Japanese comics and trading cards, etc.). It's young adult fiction, and hardly worth a read. I ordered it from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1559586710/

In the book a boy from this world somehow ends up in the world of Wizardry, and follows a band of felpurs around. The last few chapters are an extended narration of not much more than FFFPPP.

It does seem that most RPG players are more bookish than average people: perhaps there's a common trait that causes a preference for the two activities (introversion, escapism, or just blinding intelligence?).
