"What's the general scoop on Nemesis?"
I know it's not a "wizardry" per se, but for those that like Myst-type games, and played Nemesis, how did it compare?

Or just what did you think of it? The reason I ask is I was thinking of picking up a copy (to help fill the void )

I only played it for about 30 minutes before I couldn't stand it anymore and returned it -- so I can't really give it a proper review. But I can tell you that I've never heard of even one Wizardry fan that has managed to play it for more than an hour or so before deleting it in disgust.

I managed to muddle through the game. It is not easy. A lot clicking trying to find things. This was at times very difficult to do as the point of activation was often very small and innocuous. I did finish the game which says something for it. It took a while to get into though.

4. "Well, if it's that bad"
Maybe you should pay me to take it off your hands

Seriously, there was a copy for sale on ebay, for $5 that I was gonna grab. If you want to get rid of yours, I'd gladly pay the same for it. Let me know.

Just very different. Like DrSlop, I only managed a few sessions with it. I think I got through the first disk or two when I lost interest. If I recall correctly, it is sort of a Myst,FPS (first person swinger) non RPG sorta thing. Of course, when I bought it I was thinking *Wizardry* and was then fairly dissapointed. My expectations were too high or all together not on track.

But, with an open mind and five bucks, I can't see any harm there. I would go with Ebay as you will most likely get the box and all the documentation.

Good luck.

Gee, I wonder if that was the one that I got. I won the Nemesis auction the other day.

I figured for $6.00 (somebody tried to outbid me), that I would take it for a test drive. After all, many, many years ago...Sir-Tech used to send me cards out on new products.

And Rick, if that was you that tried to outbid me, you should have went up a little more and it would have been yours.

I saw it first I waited til th elast minute, then bid. As I was automatically outbid, I figured whoever I was up against probably wanted it more than I did. maybe you did me a favor from the reviews here Let me know how it goes.

Well, if it sucks that bad...you might see it back on Ebay.

I bid on that thing four days before it closed. Keep your eyes peeled for another couple of them.
