Guest (110 posts) Jan-24-06, 05:55 PM (Pacific) "Increasing Magic Resistance?" I am using a Solo FN, and my magical resistance is terrible, around 40-60 per. The Cloak of Many Colors helps, and so does the Amulet of Healing which gives me 50% Divine Resistance. I am a level 20, able to chop up Psi Sharks, but they continually get 20-30 damage per shark per round with magic. And Nessie just crushed me with Concussion, 100 damage in 1 shot. Kuli (Guest) (145 posts) Jan-24-06, 11:02 PM (Pacific) 1. "RE: Increasing Magic Resistance?" I'm not sure whether there are scrolls of "Magic Shield" or "soul shield" in the game. Apart from the cloak of many colours, there are several other items which enhance all (like the infinity helm) or some (like the granite ring for earth) resistances. To increase the character's base resistances, train the magic realms: every four points per magic realm increases the according magic resistance by one point (not absolutely sure about the ratio). Lastly, the expert skill "Iron Will", which is gained when the character reaches 100 points in Piety, helps the magical resistance. Although a Faerie Ninja will probably never have 100 in Piety...   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Amulet pro Magic casts Magic Screen at PL4; that helps, too, but they don't stack. Amulet of Nebdar has resistances in all Realms.
