"Comparisons"
I've played several rpg's and most aren't that good. Ultima Underworld was good. Arena and Daggerfall had their moments. But they were too easy once you learned your way around.

Esp. Daggerfall. Become a werewold, get the hircene ring. Become a mage, rise a few levels, make a powerful regeneration spell and nothing--not even a deadra lord can take you out.

I was wondering, are there any games that compare favorably, overall, with Wizardry--esp. CoDS/Gold? Maybe some not so famous ones I haven't seen, being new to the net and great sites like this one.

I like to create my own characters and don't like labor-intensive games like Betrayal in Antara where you get interrupted every few seconds telling you that your party is "getting fatigued". Just gimme a horse, already, and lemme get on with the game, already! I remember enjoying games like Pool of Radiance a long time ago...

There's just something about staying up all night trying to get that fairy ninja honestly, ya'know? And it's good to know that there are others who like the game and are very knowledgeable about how it's played/tips/tricks/etc.

I guess what I'm wondering is what do you play when you aren't playing Wiz...and why...
