Since (like everything else) disk space is limited (can't wait to hear one day that the Interent is out of disk space ), it is suggested that when replying to a message, you only copy that text that is necessary for your reply.

Lately it seems I've been reading a lot of posts that contain the previous message, verbatim, with replies interjected. This is OK once in a while, but can grow exponentially (and becomes more unreadable after the 2nd, 3rd, 4th iterations).

And as some of the threads grow over 100K, every bit of extra text is making it take that much longer to load.
