"Here's a thread for you! What was it for?"
There's many things in the game that just seem to not go anywhere or, perhaps, were supposed to have some meaning but you don't know what it is...

My first one:

In the Monastery, in the room where you meet Altheidies, what is the shattered glass on the pedestal in at the top of the stairs?

1. "That one seemed to have meaning"
That (I assumed) was where the artifact (Destinae Dominus?) had been kept, under glass. The broken glass was evidence of it being stolen.

But, in the monastery, where you ring the bells, there seems to be (1) a blocked off door, that goes to nowhere. (2) The computers you can not interact with.

Llevram is right there, just watch the intro - movie once again. The theft of the destinae dominus is shown there.

How about the yard with the seekers, the path goes straight to the wall and ends there.

That the Higardi were NOT native to Dominus and that the monastery was the remains of the colony ship that brought them there. This gives explanations as to (1) why computers in a monastery and other technological drvices in a religious cloister, (2) Why the computers don't work. If the colony regressed enough due to natural diaster or disease (re. Bradley's Darkover or McCafferty's Pern ) then knowledge could have be lost and not regained yet. The sealed room (friendship letter) is explained by the diary entry in the lower monastery.

3. "RE: Here's a thread for you! What was it for?"
I always assumned that the Higardi at the monasary protected their comps from unauthorized access, and the characters aren't exactly masters of the matter. That would allow for the Higardi to also have a SPACEPORT in their home town as well, while making sense about the comps.

I think the Door was meant to go somewhere, but wasn't added due to time constraints, like many other things in the game.

4. "Speaking of the spaceport ..."
.. another ruse, why have the dang Mook ship there if you can't do anything but talk to it and have it threaten you with violence.

Maybe you were supposed to be able to use it to fly up into space to fight the Savant but, again, time constraints pushed it aside?

8. "Mook ship and other inconsistances"
In the halocyn days when Wiz8 was being created, I remember it being meantioned that the game would havr eight (8) different endings. Could be some (not all ) of the stuff we see are remnants of those paths that had to be closed when Wiz9 fell through. This would explain at least two (possibly 3) inconsistances Mook ship, Rattus rattus, and Rapax Queen.

9. "RE: Mook ship and other inconsistances"
It would be nice if a rouge designers or plot developer for the game could be nice and share some info about other things in the game that we missed out on. Infact it would be nice if there was just a page on the internet where we could have all this compiled. hmmmm...

How about the Bayjin civil war? RFS-81 (I think) hints at it.

10. "Friendly Rynjin"
On rare occasions a band of Rynjin will turn friendly and help the team. It has happened to 4 people plus myself, that I have heard of. Someone also reported friendly crusher crabs in Bayjin. This might be a side effect of the civil war scenario.

I've had friendly enemies before as well. But I killed them.

12. "RE: Friendly Rynjin"
In a similar vein I recently had bugs help me in combat in Marten's Bluff. I was doing the T'Rang alignment and a couple times a group of bugs or beetles assisted me along with the usual T'Rang that happened to be around.

That's funny, seems that them creepy crawling things are somewhat related ("my friend's enemy is my enemy, too!")

14. "Creepy Crawly..."
I think that they've been trained by the T'Rang who are pretty much insectoid themselves.
