"rapax areas"
I have just finished the rapax castle main level and became a templar. have a level 14 party. my question is should i finish the castle first and then go to the away camp and rescue the two hostages or go to the camp first. i've really worked hard and the alliance, would hate to mess-up now.

thanks henry

level 14 seems very low for being in Rapaxland. If there are any other things to do first in other areas, I'd try them. You DID kill Al-Sedexus, didn't you?

no i did not kill her yet. i killed el dorado and she spoke to me and then vanished, this was in the rift area. since i posted i reloaded at a point before step 1 of templar quest and now have 2 level 16 and 4 level 15 plus rfs-81. if i wander around this area and level up, question remains the same, finish castle first or free hostages first and then finish castle. i gather from your comments i need to kill al-sexdexus b4 going to away camp.....

thanks in advance henry

ps. i know some of my questions sound dumb, but this is the first computer game i've played. grandson got me hooked.

3. "Depends on how you want to leave the away camp"
It is a rather tough battle if you are trying to take the prisoners with you, so the more you level up the better. Or you could plan on teleporting out, but then you miss out on the EXP points and loot.

I understand the "hooked" feeling. I got it 20+ years ago with Wizardry 1. Done every one since then, even upgraded computers just to play the games. RPG's are great and the Wizardry series is THE BEST!

You are a very low level to be in the Rapax zone. You can leave the Rift w/o killing Al-S, but your character who is enthralled will be nearly useless and keeps losing hit points once away from the castle and the rift. The castle has a lot of good stuff in it, unfortunately once you become a templar you don't have a lot of battles to get Exp. I went up to the top and opened the zoo doors, you do get some stuff but also experience.
