"Changes to email functionality"
As I briefly described in the announcement in the lobby, there is a change to the way the board software handles email. It used to keep our email address anonymous, and send the email throught the board (i.e. the email went to the person you were sending it to, but you never saw their email address).

Now, the board uses plain old boring email, and fires up your default email client, supplying the destination email address.

Part of what I thought to be in the board updates, was a fix to some problems with spaces in user ids, (i.e. Joe Public) in that some functions lose the space, and try to do their actions based on the remaining name (i.e. Joe). Email was one of those functions, so either way we go, I will still need to to fix that glitch.

But, as of now, I am looking for input, comments, feelings on whether we want to go with the new way of email, or stick with the old.

I'd prefer to go with the new (everybody has my email address anyway, what do I care , but I wanted to know how everyone felt about this before just changing over.

Voting:

1 = for stick with the old
5 = don't care
10 = go with the new

You can just use the rating system, in lieu of posting a message (unless you are really proud of your vote)

My apologies. Next time I'll know better. But this brings up a question. Can you delete posts like my last one--and reclaim storage space? Or did I just waste more space and should I shut up unless I (for the most part, anyway) know what I'm talking about?

4. "Post away"
Last time I checked, I was at about 50% of my alloted storage. I think I do want to check and see what bit has crept up to now (since you have joined the board and see if I need to charge you a per post fee or something )

Seriously, I can and do delete posts - usually when they are the accidental duplicate (double-click the "Post Message" button), but I can make an exception in your case

all of the time is important this board would be pretty
empty.
Thankfully it isn't a requirement. Is it?

*This was supposed to be posted under mojo's "In the interest of saving....". I guess I don't know what I am doing let alone what I am talking about*

Well, in my case they seem to have made an exception. I think they like to pick on me because I enjoy taking a long time rolling the characters I want and then run around banging our heads against walls and trees in some sort of misguided notion that I get more diverse plunder and more enemies to fight that way.

Least I give 'em something to argue about......(wait'll they hear my LATEST theorum...) And all because I dusted off a good old game and wondered if anybody out there still played...and still cared...

8. "Well, I finally did it"
(final results - 39 votes 5.5 rating)

The new email system is in place. One thing I noticed, if an unregistered user does not supply an email address for their post, it will show up as "0@psyber.com" - please don't send messages there. I imagine it is an used email address, but just in case it is not ...

Thanks
