"searching"
I wonder how you're able to read threads dated in the last year? If you use the search function and select "search the archives", the result is always "no keywords matched" (even if you look for "and" or "is"), and if you select "search all", only the posts of this year are considered.
I'm just curious...

1. "Archealogical searching"
I dunno, it worked for me. I chose:

Keyword(s): a
Search Which Forum(s)? Search all forums
Search which field(s)? All
Search how many days in the past? Last 1 year
Search the Archive? Yes

And it picked up all the board that have messages (I think) and an archive (it even picked up the old spotlight boards that are deactivated, but still exist). Right now, the only messages in any of the archives are those I have put there.

The board system currently only archives messages when there are over 300 threads (not individual messages) and none of the boards have reached that point yet.

2. "It won't work for Wiz 6"
I tried the following configuration:

Keywords: a
Search which forums: Wiz 6
Search which fields: All
Search how many days in the past: Search all
Search the archives: yes

If you let the archives be searched, no keywords will match. If you deactivate the archives, all threads of the current year will appear (starting with hexing savegames)... I'm rather sure the first post was earlier than february 2000.

3. ""Search" vs. "Include""
When you say search the archives: Yes, that means just that ... search the archives (and only the archives). And since the Wiz 6 forum doesn't have an archive, there are no messages to match.
