"occupying space"
Why not give the Wizardry 6 forum a proper name? Dunno, something like "The dawn of the new rpg era" or simply its full name "The Bane of the Cosmic Forge" and in the description "The famous predecessor of Crusaders of the Dark Savant - get your own Diamond Ring", something like that. It'd be a pity if W6 wasn't interesting enough to imagine a name or two.

Just my imagination. I am still recovering from the great mental leaps it took to come up with the wonderful name for this forum

Seriously, I lack any imagination at all and having not played Wiz 6 yet (still planning on it though), I didn't know what would be best (or at least good). How about "LOTudR - Land Of The (Unlimited Diamond) Rings"?

(LOTudR looks/sounds too much like Low Turd, harrumph, well, to me anyway... what are you staring at?)

(Anybody else think we should lock mojo, Llevram, and zaphod in a room with only two computers and see who comes out? Nah, who would keep us amused with their non-entendres and double-sequiturs...?)

Yeah, I can see it...kinda like a game of "musical swears"...

Would rather be locked in a room w/Lady A. (Long as she checks her swords at the door! )

Funny, I used to say that all the time when I was dating. Of course, I didn't know what it meant, but it sounded good.

(PS - With Lady A, I think what you should be worried about is the spurs. ouch.)

Hmmm...looks like your leg mended just fine. I'm happy to report that the sanity potion worked...at least to a degree.

MisterMoo was starting to look good in that gossamer gown... Presuming, of course, the Three Rules of Moo:

A: That you are Blinded

B: That you are Silenced (so you couldn't scream)

and C: Stoned. Definitely stoned.

Yet perhaps, one day, to grow up from sick puppy to lapdog... HOWLLLLLL! (Better gimme another swig, darlin')

Gossamer gown! We don't need no stinkin gossamer gown (which is why we use Rossarian's Roll-on Prozacian Deodorant puffs, the formula multiple personalities (even in single parties) prefer for stay fresh and breezy in the dankest of dungeons).

Your three rules of Moo remind me of a mildly offensive joke (if jokes involving the Pope offend you), the punchline of which follows:

First, she must be blind, so she cannot see who does this thing. Second, she must be mute, so she cannot tell anyone what has happened. Third, she must have really big #####.

Lady A, in this most recent of sig pictures, it looks like you're trying to do a Penn & Teller magic trick.
Wait, I know, you carry your sword this way so if you trip while running you won't poke your eye out...
(of course, when you dress this way, you make all the fellas' eyes bug out...)

15. "reconsideration"
Glad you could make it without hoping for a Pulitzer Price ;)
BUT the comment *might* be slightly too much W7-related... after all, W6 is a game on its own and a very good one indeed.
So *perhaps* you might consider to change the text a little, maybe in "This is the starting place for those who want to maximize (by the way, applying correct grammar it must be "their", right?) ?their? starting point/party in Wiz7. Even if you aren't interested in the *great* treasures and *wonderful* items you might want to import into Wiz 7, you experience a full-featured fantasy story with astounding graphics and sounds."
Hmmm... maybe too long... let's skip the first sentence...

Just give it a try sometime, play it and you'll love it... my first encounter with the Wizardry series was Crusaders of the Dark Savant, but I think Bane of the Cosmic Forge is better in terms of being "one game"... the world of W7 is so big, somewhere in the middle I usually forget what I'm after... well, never mind. Hope you don't feel critisized too much )

16. "Truth in advertising :)"
Astounding graphics :? And with todays computers, many people end up having to pick between sound or mouse support.

But, yes, you are coorect, by blurb is from the Wiz 7 perspective, as I have never played Wiz 6. That is why I had always asked for someone else to provide the verbage.

As for criticism, don't worry, I have a steel-toed ego But, size is an issue as this page (the Lobby) is one of the biggest draws on my bandwidth.

As an after thought, I came up with other names for the Forum:
Wiz 6 - I've got you Bane
Wiz 6 - You're so Bane

17. "How about..."
Wiz 6 - Can you stand the Bane?

Honestly, I think the graphics are well done, and I've never heard such mean laughter as from the goblins... pah, all this 3D-thingaboo is pretty uninteresting, while the sound hasn't improved very much since the introduction of the first Soundblaster... can hardly hear any difference. It just got bigger, not better. By the way, I'm also a supporter of the Back to the DOS Roots program

I'm afraid I've to correct you again, the first "its" is without an apostrophe ); however, I'm fine with the recent text. Good things need their time

Ok, the apostrophe is gone ... one bit of bandwidth saved for every page load

And my comment about graphics was not about the quality when it was made, just viewing it today. On a large monitor (versus the 14" or so, that were predominant when it was released) it is very pixelly, which is what averted me from starting it, back when I got an inkling to ....

21. "Tastes are different"
I played most parts on a 21" monitor, so I avoided to have to put my glasses on Nah, I just don't care much about screen resolutions, the fun playing a game depends mainly (only) on the successful entrance into another world... for me, the door stands wide open in W6, regardless of the superhypermegapower-visualisations you get in more recent games. It's similar to reading books, if you see the film, the book is spoiled, because your imagination was different when reading. If you don't see every detail drawn and spoken, it's up to your fantasy to fill in the room... so I like to play the first Wizardries, even if there's not much to see actually... and still I think the graphics in Bane are quite good (better than in Crusaders, as I've explained in the Wiz 6 forum), and for the sound - I usually turned of the music after five minutes in games like Battle Isle, there's just no need to hear a full orchestra playing in the background, it's more kind of a nu(o)isance.

You really can't compare a bicycle with a Porsche - but I'd choose the bicycle
