"Hello wizardry forums and my impressions of Wiz 8"
Hi guys,

I've been reading this forums for some time and thought I'd chime in. A long time ago when I was a young on I played Wizardry 1 on an NES and loved it. Recently I decided to pick up Wizardry 8 and loved it. I'm happily working my way through 7 now that I've beaten Bane...but I've strayed.

Wiz 8 is an excellent game and I'm taking my fourth party through. It's such a pleasure to have a game where monk and ranger are viable characters and can kick *&$#.

It's a great game but unfortunately, reading through this forum I see how there are some threads that didn't get tied up before the release. Things like the Rapax Queen plot or Rattus Rattus who's appearance is rather brief. However, I don't mind that so much. What really annoyed me was how the Umpani or the T'rang would pledge their support and gather their armies but when I get to Ascension Peak there is only a dead Umpani and a dead T'rang. I thought it would be cool if they actually sent troops to help. I guess they can't get through the Rapax Rift...

Anyhow, in closing I think Nessie was great. It's fun to bludgeon her unconscious, but there are many ways to kill her, just as there are many ways to kill everything. Four times through and I'm still seeing new monsters...

Enough,
Carcophan
