"Wiz 6 on DosBox: safe file / disk problem"
Hi,

I just started a new party to play a rerun of Wizardry 6. As my original disks are stored away at my parent's residence so that I don't have access to them right now, I tried to download the files from the internet. I encountered however, that all the disk-archives that can be downloaded from abandonware sites on the internet are corrupt, i. e. you can play the game but it is bugged (Queeqeg and L'Montes are not in their regular hangouts, and you get Captain Matey instead who wants to fight you.)

Can anybody tell me where to find a set of working installable disks on the internet or provide my with a copy? I consider myself an avid Wizardry player and I own the game legally, (original 5.25" version and as part of the second Wizardry trilogy), so I feel it would be o.k. asking for a copy through this forum. I will send my e-mail adress to anybody who volunteers to help me.

One more thing: The save option also does not seem to work properly when I use DosBox: I have to set it to "SAVE" instead of "C:\SAVE" for it in order to function. Any comments on this problem would be most appreciated.

Sir Thomas (Wizardry player of the past)
