Hello Board,I am playing an Ironman game on easy since it's my first time playing in Ironman mode. Today I was heading into the rattkin tree from Trynton floor when I backed right off the elevator and was suspended in midair. I puzzled for a few seconds and then got a crushed message. I was annoyed but then quickly reloaded and the game started me where it had autosaved just before. I thought you couldn't do that in Ironman?
Another thing I was wondering is what governs the type of elemental you get? For a while I had a theory that terrain determines it but that doesn't seem to be the case...although I think I get more earth elementals in the Mountains.
Stronger elementals hit harder, more often, and the highest level elementals cast weak spells. I really like elementals, although water ones seem fairly inefficient, but it's a change from previous wizardry games. In 6 and 7 I thought it was great how different creatures would come, and in different numbers depending on power level and random factors.
