"W & W, Which Version?"
Which version of W&W should I get?

What I really should really ask is, How good is the hint book that comes in the Collector's edition?

Thanks

Nebari

1. "Which version of the hint book"
I got the 'standard' edition, which comes with no hint book, but has a walkthrough for the first crypt on the CD (as it probably does with all editions). The 'collector' edition comes with a 'mini-strategy guide', which I have heard you are better off to go with online FAQs and forums (). I believe there is also a 'complete strategy guide' available separately.

If it were me, I would go for the 'standard' and then get the full guide, if you felt you wanted to keep the game for a long time and know all the 'tricks'.

2. "Proly just the plain one"
The clear answer to this question is of course "the version that has been patched to amend the dozens of reported bugs." Hopefully a patch, be it officially sanctioned by Activision or not, is in the works. If you haven't bought the game yet, I would suggest waiting for a patch to make up your mind.

Based on all the goodies added to the U9 Dragon Edition and the Diablo II CE, I expected more from the W&W CE. Turns out the map is the same in both games, and the two glorious figurines are like thumbnail size.

The mini-guide is an excerpt from the full "official" guide by Brady Games. If you have Diablo II, the guide that came with that is the same deal. It gives some basic data on character classes. The CE also has a different box. So its up to you - I'm undecided as to if I got my extra $5 worth.
