"Ninja"
Hello all...I have a question...When I play my ninja I tend to always have him fight barehanded...Is that the best way to go or is he better if he uses weapons? If you could share your experiences it would be appreciated...Thanks in advance

1. "RE: Ninja"
What race is he/she? If fairy it behooves you to build up wand and staff and alchemy skills as well as bare habds because of the Cane of Corpus.

He is a Hobbit...Is it better to have him as a fairy?...I went to the link you posted Llevram...Seems the ninja isn't really a well liked character but everytime I have played this game (more times than I care to admit) I have always had a ninja...I love the little guy...I never really built up his throwing before but I guess I should huh? *Smile*

4. "How I run my ninjas"
I get his alchemy up to 15 as soon as possible, then build it with potion-mixing. If I have a bishop or alchemist ... the ninja does all the mixing.

I build throwing (shuriken, knives or sling) and let him carry acid bombs and cherry bombs. Build critical kill to improve the effectiveness of his throwing.

I get the following spells as soon as possible: Toxic cloud, blinding flash, heal wounds, acid bomb. Monsters are frequently out of throwing range in the first round so he is free to cast disabling spells. Spells like whipping rocks are more limited in range but also useful.

He is the team lock-picker if I don't have a rogue.

the best weapons for a ninja are the Light Sword and Cane of Corpus (Faeries only), . as for secondary weapons (if you equip one of those and its onehanded, you need one for full attack power), the best ones are the Rod of Sprites (faeries only), Thieve's Dagger (there's a trick to it) & and Sai.
now, if these are better than barehanded fighting, you will have to test yourself. I know not how the Ninja's damage increases with level or skills.

whoops, missed the Wiz 8 part of this thread
