I finished the Serpent Temple (I think) the other day and I thought it was a lot of fun. I thank the makers for the auto map and flags. If their intent was to make sure one couldn't memorize the Temple hallways and paths, or at least make it difficult, it sure worked on me. I spent quite a few days trying to get the lockpicks to H'thark (sp?). Then After I killed someone, don't know who, I had the correct key of a sudden. <shrug> Perhaps it was in a chest..... I had to ask a freind about summoning the spirit. I missed putting the Serpent Idol in the slot in the library. Wasted a few days on that one. After that I cruised. Had to take two shots at Naga but the battle with Elyssia (sp?)and friends was done in one take. Just barely.
One item I did not use was the Iron Rod from the fire pit in the torture chamber.
Does anyone know what it is used for? Spoiler OK.
Gross graphical glitches throughout the Temple. Monkeys stuck halfway in walls and doors. Snakes halfway in the floor. Once I was stuck in a floor and had to reboot to continue. Had a couple of doors that opened once and stayed open. Every time I went through them the sound effect of the door opening and closing went off. That sorta thing.
One thing that puzzled me was the time I was at the elevator maze. I was standing right next to the edge of the elevator as it was going up and down. (I was at the upper most part of the elevator shaft) I heard something being crushed down below and looked down to see what it was. After the elevator was through pulping the luckless monkey, it returned to the top and got stuck. Blood was a-flying and I noticed that my PC (position 6) was being crushed. All I did was look down. I did not move forward. Oh well. Lesson learned. Hopefully.
Now I'm off on some quest to a castle or something like that.
