Scary (286 posts) Jun-30-04, 03:19 PM (Pacific) "My Bane Anniversary" I was just thinking: it was almost exactly ten years ago that I picked up Bane. I had just finished law school, and was taking an extended weekend vacation from studying for the bar: flying to Seattle for the wedding of my best friend in law school. The day after the wedding, hanging out in downtown Seattle, I went into a computer/software store, and there it was: one of the Wizardry Trilogy boxes with V, VI and VII. Already familiar with CODS after being introduced by my younger brother (and having been playing it through much of my third year), I knew what I was looking at and immediately grabbed it. I was the happiest of campers all the way home. (Despite the added distraction, I still managed to pass the bar.)   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: My Bane Anniversary" Been about 12.5 years for me -- played during my senior year of high school, and was barely able to stay awake for many a day after having played most of the night before. Over the years, I've always returned to this game, and I'm so psyched that many of my longtime questions about the game are being explored and answered on this forum. Nosferatu (Guest) (1 posts) Oct-19-04, 04:19 PM (Pacific) 3. "RE: My Bane Anniversary" it was about 12 years ago when i picked up crusaders. It has been my all time favorite ever since. Wiz 8 is its only match. Certain elements i like better in 8 and other elements i like better in 7. Both are exquisite games. Just today i figured out how to work Dosbox and got Bane to work. Now i fighting the urge to get sucked into Bane because i am in my final year of law school and cant afford the distraction. The california bar is coming in July so hopefully i can resist until August to start. If not wish me luck so i too can pass the bar and play Bane at the same time BTW congrates on your anniversary and on your passing the bar while playing the game your third year.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
