Ah well, finally the bug has got me again...During the Christmas holidays I’ve installed Wiz8 again, because I was a bit bored. Bad idea!!! At once this great game took hold of me and I’ve started an armada of no less than seven parties...
They are:
“Last Heroes”:
Lord, Rogue, Monk, Ninja, Bishop, Alchemist (All classes that I haven’t taken to Ascension peak yet or I haven’t developed properly in previous games)
“The Rangers”:
3 x Ranger, Ninja, Gadgeteer, Bishop (A party especially created for ranged combat. I just hate it that later in the game I have to walk around in combat killing all those spellcasters. Now the creatures will regret that they don’t rush to greet me... And the ranger that I‘ve already taken to ascension did an amazing job towards the end of the game!)
“The Broggins”:
Gadgeteer, Bard (Ophilia and Phileastas Broggins are a friendly Hobbit couple which is trying to sing and engineer its way out of danger )
“Tank Team”:
3 x Fighter, Bishop (everyone says that this is one of the easiest party - compositions, so I’ve decided to give it a try)
“Fraternal twins”:
Lizardman Fighter (“You want me fight? I fight”), Faerie Bishop (a funny combina-tion, I think. Best quote when the fighter died: “Oh my, what a petty. You know, I think that he was in love with me” )
“Martial Arts Team”:
2 x Monk, Ninja (a far east – inspired party. I’ve considered to create a samurai for this team as well, but they don’t learn the “stealth”-skill. The others will dodge and punch their way through the enemylines.)
“Solo Faerie Ninja”:
Solo Faerie Ninja (my intention for this one is fairly obvious, I think... Cane of Corpus!)
And then there’s “Lonesome Lulu”, a solo ranger, but she is trapped in the lower monastery with little hope to survive, so maybe she’ll stay there for good...
Most of them have made it to Arnika now. Only the “Martial Arts Team” wasn’t able to get there, because the monsters encountered on the road there were too tough. So they’ve decided to hunt some monsters in the lower monastery to gain a few levels.
The most difficult so far is the solo Ninja. He’s encountered pestilent rats, poison seekers and metallic slimes in the upper monastery and it took him many tries, to take them out. The worst problem is that he doesn’t have much stamina, so that long battles are very dangerous.
The rangers haven’t encountered many problems so far, although they are a bit weak in melee. They’ve taken on several Trynnie-Outcasts but had no chance against them. It’s time that the bishop learns “Freeze flesh”!
The Fraternal Twins are very funny, but the combats are sometimes difficult: if the monsters start hitting the faerie, it’s over quite soon...
Okay, that’s it for now, happy hunting!
