"Quixotic adventures in Gael Serran :)"
(or perhaps under the category of NPCs with brainpower equivalent Homer Simpson)

I thought it was weird that when standing next to the windmill, you can get messages like "Buzzard takes 6 crush damage" I figured the birds flying around were just window dressing, not really "in the game".

But then later on, it was even funnier when miles away I repeatedly got messages that the NPC in that area was taking crush damage ... apparently standing a bit too close to the windmill. I guess if I was closer, I may have actually heard the "Doh! Doh! Doh!"

It is funny that you mention that. When I cast a Flamedrop I noticed that all these beautiful birds and butterflies were dropping right before my eyes. I guess they were drawn to the light. Of course when I try to shoot them down with an arrow, I am not that successful.

Fighting bats under water One tip: most (or maybe all) spells fizzle under water.

I have noticed that there are limits to spell effectiveness when shooting them into water as well. A target that is more than ?? 2 feet ?? under water will be untouched for spells like Shock, Flame Drop/Strike and Burn. I did kill a small school of fish with Elemental Blast (is that the right spell name?) though I'm not sure how far under they were.

Under water, I have fought Rats, Bats and those large marmot things. A couple of fish were out of the water on the bank when I got them. I've killed two rats that were about " 6 " feet up a wall. (different areas) Here a quirk there a quirk......

Riding the horse under water...That was good...

Like rain .... indoors (in the crypt - where you can also ride your horse, to a point - and in the toad tunnels)

--realism, eh Prof?

Thinkin' about gettin' my pistol and shotgun outta retirement and go huntin' a cyberdemon or two. Manoman (hey! I think I just came up with a new superhero! Remember, you heard it here first, True Believers!) THAT was a gooood game!
