"Super ninjas"
Hi there again...

Been reading thru this forum and found something about when your characters raise their stats. Only when gaining levels and giving some ashes to Charon.
Of course you raise stats invoking some items.

But there is a way to get a super ninja, NO cheating..
I don´t really recall everything so I´m not 100% sure. BUT, when the ninja gains level, his ac drops by one. If you directly after that rewievs him and equip him, it will drop one step further?!
I´m not sure if this works, thought I saw just that the last time my ninja gained level to level 10, then equiping him (new weapon) and i think it droped one more time. Then I had a flashback that it does that everytime directly after gaining a level. But I´m not really sure if it was on PC or a long long time ago on Amiga that this happens!?

Gonne try it after work tonight!

Anyone who knows if the ninjutsu skill helps dropping the ac?

Excuse my english... I´m from sweden... =)

comments?!?

1. "RE: Super ninjas"
ninjas and monks AC is determined by Ninjutsu and Level
when a Ninja/monk gains a level, his AC is adjusted
for every 5-10 points (varies by level) of Ninjutsu, he will have his AC lowered by 1
for every other level (2,4,6,8...) his AC will drop an Additional 1
Speed has a seperate bonus, 16 and 17 drop it by 1; 18 drops it by 2
and Faeries have a race bonus, lowering their AC by 2
and, Additional armor makes it harder for the enemies to penetrate, and do damage.
so, it's better to equip them with the Ninja gear, instead of having a Naked Ninja.
a level 18 Faerie Ninja, with 18 speed and 100 Ninjutsu will have a natural AC of -7
armed with the ninja gear, he can achieve a body AC rating of -10
and, sorry, no gloves available for ninjas.

You are only as brave as the challenges you take on

Okey, I have to check it up, but I´m pretty sure my ninja (lvl 11 or 12) have ac -4, ninjutsu maybe 60.
But i´m almost 100% sure that the ac drops one step further when equiping him after he gained a level. I have to try that at home later.
My ninja is a felpurr, I actually did´nt remember that the fearies had a natural ac of 8. Da*n!

Oh yes...

When a ninja gains level, his ac drops by one point (when putting skill points on ninjutsu)
directly after he gained a level, review him. Now you can see that the ac is lower then before. Now equip your ninja, and whoops.. the ac drops one step further! This happens most of the times...

Talk about super ninjas...

i've found that once my ninjas and monks get up to level 30 or something, once i un-equip and re-equip them, their ac actually jumps to like 24 or something...but then once the equipment is back on, the -3 that the ninja stuff provides brings it to -27 on the body icon thing. and any rings etc. (stars, diamonds) will bring it down another 4 or 5 depending...so it ends up between -27 and -32. don't know if it's a bug...kinda neat though.

5. "It´s working!"
Okey, here´s the thing..

Dragon2k writes that a level 18 fearie ninja with speed 18 will have a natural ac of -7.
My level 15 fearie ninja with speed 18 has natural ac -12, quite good?!

The natural ac can be lowered several times, not only when gaining a level. Between levels, when you have increased your ninjutsu skill by hiding, you can lower it. Also, directly after you have gained level you can lower it. And of course, when gaining level, increasing your ninjutsu skill, you will lower it.

All you have to do is to reequip your ninja after he has gained a level, or between levels when you think he have earned enough skillpoints in ninjutsu. Just try often after battles etc.

So that seems to be a bug, and a nice one too!
So i guess my level 18 fearie ninja will have araound natural ac 14-15!

Comments?
Try it and you´ll see...
