"Musings on a two man team"
Just finished my first ever two person attempt, and very interesting it was too! I took a team through from Bane, a Hobbit Lord and a Felpurr Samurai, and from the beginning decided to class change, something I had never done before. It did get quite difficult in parts, but as the skills built it was obvious that towards the end of the game it was worth it. Eventually I changed back to the original classes, and let the resistances and stats build - but with the added bonus of Alchemy spells each, and many other minor stats not normally available.

Made quite a few observations: the robot dungeon was SO easy! With them both being 3x as strong as normal, and no weaker members to get shot to pieces (and I am sure the Light Sword and Diamond Eyes with 20 strength and Power Strike helped!) I cleared this area in no time. Likewise the Dark Savant, he just didnt have a prayer, and both of them (hard level) were cut to shreds inside three attack rounds as well as the attendant Kui Sa thingies.

The major test would come from the Gorrors though. The Thing, Ra, D'Arboleth an Horragoth were easy, all being killed in one or two rounds. The Fiend was more problematic on Hard level, though I could kill them both, I wanted to do it without anyone dying. At level 60 or so, and even with the Light Shield I couldnt manage this, but sure I could have done with more HP. The Beast has always caused me most problems, in the past with 6 men I have barely lasted 5 rounds - so against two would be interesting! Manged to hide straight away, and cast a lot of spells before being hit (I never usually use superman, haste, bless or slow but seemed to work). Also they were weakened multiple times, and I know this effects spell power. Then set to work with cold steel, and Ymmus paw stoned one of them, then got a critical on each! Barely broke sweat, both dead.

One thing I noticed was that my Diamond Ring disappeared. It wasn't Bleinmeis, I was suprised by this, and the editor showed it hadn't been dropped. I edited in another, and when I used it in Sky City it did not dissapear! I didn't realise until after, so dropped it... and again, it totally dissapeared, never o be seen again!

So what to do now? Gonna kill all the NPCs lol

On Fiend: Wierd, because I find the Fiend to be the 2nd easiest of the Gorrors to kill. Kirijitsu kills it in the 1st turn everytime.

On items disappearing when you drop them, I recall reading on here somewhere that each 'map' holds a max number of items. Dropping more items once you've reached that max causes items to go missing. Though, can't imagine how you'd have too many items on the ground in Sky City.... o.O

Me too, and I cannot recall where I read it. I once lost the Legend Map after storing it on the street in Arn... in New City and had to do a lot of replaying, since I didn't have an editor then.

You read it in one of MY posts !

I was exploring the Mystery Menus (an Undocumented Testing Feature, not a BUG as Llevram will claim in the next post) and I kept dropping stuff on the ground. When I checked my official piles inside Thesminster Abbey, many items had disappeared. I then dropped something outside, went back in and checked the pile that stuff had disappeared from. Another item had vanished.

I believe the drop limit is 118 to 127. I had a hard time finding and counting everything I had dropped in New City.
