"Fastest to the Finish"
Has anyone seen any postings on the least number of days to finish the game?

Seems like a fun competition. It would eliminate "practicing" your characters to level up or increase certain traits (I am of the opinion that's a bit of a cheat - but to each his own).

The competition would obviuosly have to have some rules - like every reload counts as a day, etc.

Just curious - how many days has it taken you all to complete your games? I see people talking about being at level 35! My group is at 22-24 and I have one more artifact to place.

1. "RE: Fastest to the Finish"
31 days, 1 hour and 51 minutes.

My party was:

Male Rawulf Lord
Male Hobbit Rogue
Male Faerie Ninja
Female Fellpurr Bard
Male Hobbit Gadgeteer
Male Human Ranger

... and RFS-81 & Vi as RPC's. For a long time in this game my lord had the worst weapons of all; a gleaming sword/poignard combo. I got extremely lucky at Bayjin; I entered when my party was around level 20 and got the light sword from the bayjin hut. That acombined with diamond eyes from the MW crypt and he was a winner. I did my exp training in the SW wilderness/mountain wilderness. When I was around level 15 i went into the retro dungeon, fought all the battles there and snagged Nebdar's amulet along with some other nice goods in the room behind her. Around level 17-18 I did the templar thing because I wanted ferro's stuff. Gave the Fang from the SW chapel to the gadgeteer; he used it once it his whole career, and that swing was an instakill. I did do all the quests, including the alliance thing. I destroyed the umpani and t'rang anyway for the experience.

I don't care much myself for the practicing stuff, because I find it boring. You get your practice in combat, and then all your other skills raise a lot faster than knock-knocking a certain door over and over again or charming/playing the violin on an NPC for three months.

But I tend to think of it as more of an adventure, less of a race or competition. I think I really only compete with myself, to find more enjoyable parties to play, or paths through the game.
