"Faster elite party creation in Gold...?"

Skeptic (Guest) (0 posts) Jun-30-06, 05:40 AM (Pacific) "Faster elite party creation in Gold...?" I have been working for days now on trying to generate a faerie ninja for my party(hours a day) with no luck. The most bonus points I am able to get has been like 17 I think so far. I already know about the use of the "." key to increase bonus points but that only works AFTER you have selected your class so is useless to me. Does anyone know of any way to speed up this process or will I just have to keep trying for hours every day until I hit the jackpot?   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I have your editor and use it for wizardry 8 modding but I thought it could not be used to edit characters in Wiz 7/Gold? Will check it again. Just create a fairy-anything with statistics close to a ninja, then class-change to ninja when the statistics get high enough. It has been so long since I was able to play this game that I do not even remember who Xen Xheng is or where he is(he a T'rang? The one in New City?). Thanks for the heads up. Thoguht I had the latest version of teh editor because I downloaded it just less than 2 weeks ago I think but I must have mixed up an older version that was on my HD adn deleted the newer one instead or something. Anyways, everything works now. Unfortunately, the text speed is still way too fast. I did the DOD command-line solution to change the text delay to 254 but it has no discernable effect on the actual text delay. SO I guess I am stuck having to use walkthroughs to get the text messages I need to know if I am going to play. Thanks Mad God. Your editor is amazing. There is a key for each version of the game which will give your characters as many bonus points while rolling for them as you need. I hear it's different for everyone for some reason, but for me its the "," key. After you roll your character go ahead and choose a crappy class, then press "," or whatever your key is, and you'll notice the amount of bonus points you rolled will go up. This way you can go ahead and give the character 18 in everything, then swap him to whatever class you want immidiately when you start a game. I find that this is the best way, because since you swap right after going into the game, it isn't really cheating it's just saving youself a whole lot of time.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
