"NES Wizardry Bugs and Glitches."
Hey all, I'm brand new to this site, but not to the Wizardry games.

I'm currently doing a "sticky" topic on gamefaqs, and would like to know if there are any known bugs in the NES version of the game. It's been a long time since I've played it, but I'll be picking up my controller once again for this game. Now then, a few questions I would like to ask:

Do all spells work as stated? Does all armor work as stated? Does AC really affect how well you evade or the HP of damage taken? Does the stats do what they should, besides just a basis for charcter class? Is there a secret way to get high bonuses? (not really a bug, just wanted to know).

The most I've ever gotten is a 29 bonus (I think), but I don't think you can get any higher than that.

At any rate, this will be a work in progress over the next couple of months, and any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated. If all goes well, I might do one for Wizardry 2 as well.

If anybody here has a gamefaqs account as well, you can leave me a message there as well under the NES Wizardry 1 topic I made concerning the bugs and glitches. Credit will be given to the fullest, as I'm pretty much just the writer for this. If you'd like to email me, it's in my Profile.

Thanks all, I look forward to this project!

I had a glitch once where my entire party died but instead of resetting to the castle it gave all of my warriors like infinite hit points but I coudln't attack with them cause they were all "dead" I had to restart the game. When I did I was able to restart an out party and get that party back from the maze without mounting a rescue party.

I tried out an emulated version and the most I got was 9 bonus points. What's the deal with that?

NINE?!

That sucks, my usual bonus is around 18 or 19. You just have to keep at it and I'm not sure how to boost this at all. It appears to be totally random, but hardly anything was randomized in the old NES days.... everything had some sort of formula to it.

Anyway, just keep making characters and taking their gold and deleting them. Eventually you'll hit a decent bonus of 18 or 19.
