That's what they're looking for!If you are paranoid, drop them off at the Isle of Crypts because nobody can travel there. That's what I do with all my excess junk like the extra Coffer Keys, IUF Orders, etc...
After you do so, they'll go back to smacking each other around until you essentially have a group of "Evil" or "Good" NPCs running around. Which group you get more or less has to do with who you kill: Rodan or Shritis. Whoever is left alive will slaughter just about everyone else they get into a feud with (Note, Rodan loses to Shritis in just about every game I've played, hence the reason I hunt Shritis down and kill him the second he gets "released").
Play long enough and the Gorn tend to bite it on their own as well. With the "Good" NPCs (Gruntwrapper, Rhallick, Xen, Tshober, Jan-Ette, Ulgar and Galiere) led by Rodan running around in my game, the untrusting Gorn tended to start fights with the others, notably Rodan, with deadly results.
