"Parry options"
LAST EDITED ON Jul-17-05 AT 10:44 AM (Pacific)

Hello

I'm curious what are the adventages of using the PARRY orders. I've never had a Wiz7 manual :/ AFAIK (deduction, dear Watson ;) ):
REST - the character does noting for a round to regain some stamina (does it improve enemy's chance to hit the resting char?)
DODGE - quite obvious. I see it somehow improves the characters defences (bonus to AC maybe?)
BLOCK - blocking fleeing enemies? I dunno, I haven't used this a lot
GUARD - Well, that's a real problem. Who does the character 'guard'?

I'll be glad for your help

It's not too late to buy a copy of the game!

Block only appears if you have a shield equipped. If used, the character can't be hit for double damage and also reduces the chances to get hit, depending on the shield skill.

Guard makes the character strike back if attacked.

2. "Reguard:"
i thought Guard was you protect a party member, whom you choose when selecting this option.

3. "regarding guard"
No, you are probably mistaking Wizardry 7 for Wizardry 8.
Wizardry 7: strike back if attacked
Wizardry 8: try protect another party member if it is attacked
