Luke (4 posts) Jul-14-05, 07:53 AM (Pacific) "Rossarian - what did I ever do to you?" I got the Wiz 7 bug (not a software bug, but the good addictive kind) again for the first time in about a year. My old computer is gone and my spare laptop wont handle Wiz 8 very well so I thought I would give good old CoDS a go again and it always blows me away how great this game is even if I only play it once a year or so. Anyway after a couple of differnt combo's I found my groove again with a party I am enjoying so far: faerie theif>Ninja Felpurr Ranger>Samurai Elf Bard>Monk Mook Bard>Mage (maybe to samurai after that) Dwarf Theif>Priest>Valkyrie (this combo was not very well planned, going from base priest to valkyrie has been very difficult) Human Ranger> Samurai or Ninja?? (still havent decided on this one, I wanted a samurai but right now Ninja is available for profession change) I like this party because there is only minimal class changing needed (I dont like excessive changing), I can cover all spellbooks and everyone has Ninjitsu. It was slow going though for the first 6 or 7 levels but starting to pick up nicely. So anyway back to the problem at hand, I have been going my own way through New City minding my own business, killing a few pesky cruds in old city and sorting out the undesireables. A new sheriff is in town. But for some reason Rossarian doesnt want to talk to me, I try to convince him it wasnt me hitting on his sister but he is not taking kindly to nice words, little presents, additions to his trust fund or even some gentle "charming" persuasion. I havent befriended any of his enemies and am not using that most unholy of software (wizGold)he just doesnt like me. I am working on seeing if he prefers young rapscallions to go off to "ukpyr" military school before he gives any respect but that journey right now is long and difficult. Oh well thats what is so great about wiz 7, every time is different and fraught with new dangers, problems, solutions etc. But boy my team could really use some good weapons right now.   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

He'll sell you some nice Spear +2's; you can afford a couple if you sell the Amulet of Life at the Black Market... He usually goes north, if you run out of the prison and just walk back and forth on the sidewalk you're likely to catch him. Just to clarify, since the Savant blew into town, Rossarian's business has been outlawed: he's not allowed to sell weaponry on the open market. The problem is I spoke to him and traded with him earlier but he wont talk to me now even though I have had no contact with the T'Rang yet, I am on my way to Ukpyr to see if he likes me better when I am in uniform. Luke (Guest) (22 posts) Jul-15-05, 08:59 PM (Pacific) 7. "RE: hmmmm" looks like the Dane hate me too. Belcanzor wont talk to me and I went to Ukpyr and they started a fight instead of let me join up. It must have been some kind of bug because I didnt side with anyone yet and have never had this problem in 10 years of playing the game. But oh well, each game is different and the gorn and munk seem happy to deal with me. I just decided to live with it and have been killing all the Danes and Umpani's I can find. I havent tried going through Ukpyr yet so I dont know if I can still get the Thermal Pineapple but its not like I cant finish the game or anything. Also my team rocks now, It was slow going but I did my final class change (at level 11 unfortunately for the Mook) and it looks like this: Faerie Ninja (hands and feet) Dwarf Valkyrie (Crusaders 2hd Axe +1) Felpurr Samurai (No Dachi) Elf Monk (Cat o Nine Tails, Pandoras Wand) Human Ninja (Nanginata) Mook Samurai (Nanginata)   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Check with my editor what attitude values yuor party has" That blind rat once stole my pineapple, and was the reason I got on this board in the first place. I sircumvented it by going to map 28, clicking on Manage Events, Clicking on Quadrant 0 (3,0), Clicking on Usage of Thermal Pineapple, Clicking on Modify, and changing the item needed to a Fireball Scroll.
