Andrew (Guest) (26 posts) Nov-04-04, 08:52 PM (Pacific) "Trading help" I just transferred my party to Gold from Bane, after choosing the "kill Bela" ending. A walkthrough I consulted suggested that I head for New City, which I've done. Unfortunately, Paluke won't trade with me; I assume this is because I'm supposed to be allied with the T'Rang. otter (Guest) (0 posts) Nov-04-04, 10:14 PM (Pacific) 1. "Say The Word" wow, i didn't know that. I never imported 6>7. I've always been able to trade with Paluke, (who only sells armor items). Maybe if you pick up one of his adverts somewhere and hand it to him in the negotiate window? There's a good place to buy weapons, too, you just need the "password"--i don't remember where you're supposed to learn it, as i did once long ago and then just used it from then on: S P O I L E R S P A C E > > The advert is in the "beginner dungeon" east of town, and the word for the Argus Arms guy is Black Market.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Kuli (210 posts) Nov-05-04, 05:32 AM (Pacific) 3. "T'Rang" Your problem is, that all the folks in new city hate the T'Rang, so for you're alligned with them, they hate you as well. I have the same problem and no idea how to turn them friendly: I was even attacked by several townsmen, even though I've got the message in the conversation screen, that "Soandso becomes friendly".   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

The only people I can trade with in New City are Rulae and the magic store guy, but unfortunately they don't have much that I really need: when I transferred from Bane, most of my armor got lost in the process, so several of my guys are walking around in their skivvies. "RE: T'Rang" OK, I was hoping that this "everybody hates me" business would just be a minor annoyance with traders, but now it's affecting the path I wanted to take through the game. Having been through Orkogre and Munkharama, I thought I'd try out Upkyr next. Of course, the Umpani attack on sight. I should have anticipated this, but it's still a disappointment. Do I have to go through the game with the Umpani as enemies (I like them more than the T'Rang), or is there anything I can do to prove my good intentions?   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

It's possible to load the finished game (killed Bela, entered the spaceship) and run through the temple again and take the pen. Then there is the endgame-screen with the mysterious figure of light. Unfortunately, an import of this updated endgame still starts in Nyctalinth. My only option is to time-travel a bit further into the past, back to meeting the queen and consider to drop the cross or not.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: TimeMachine is broken" Two questions: Is this nonsense about permanently hostile Umpani entirely due to the fact that diplomacy is broken in Gold? In other words, if I chose the kill Bela ending in Bane, could I find a way to ally with the Umpani in Crusaders?
