This is an unofficial English translation of the Japanese version.

NES/SNES ROMS are generally easy to find. Just use your favorite search engine and search for something like: SNES, ROM, <name_of_the_game>.

Just a warning: a lot of available Wizardry ROMs are in Japanese (for example Wizardry 6), so basically useless to almost anyone else ).

Actually, the SNES Wiz 1-3 has an in-game option for English, however there were a few things (mostly stuff involving transferring characters, though I was able to figure this much out on my own) that was left untranslated.

I'd like to own an actual copy one day.

of the cartridge? it'd still be Japanese, except no English language option
btw, to transfer characters, inovlves the "Turbo File"
copy Wiz 1 save to Wiz 2, overwriting it. then, choose the characters to transfer over. the new characters will be slightly better than what you could create yourself easily, but everything else drops, and equipment doesn't seem to transfer (I'll have to check this one), meaning the only good part, is starting as a lord or ninja.

that'd be a bad thing?
roms are copies of the commercial cartridges, thus, downloading one, without actually owning the cartridge, is illegal.
he'll get plenty of spam, if he just signs up for all the stuff in popups, maybe he really will win a trip to the Canary Islands <;)>
