Devil Whiskey appears to be close to release. It is supposed to follow in the line of The Bard's Tale series. The price looks good also.

Check it out at:

The demo is out. It has the feel of the old RPg's. No Wizardy 8 but might give a fews hours of enjoyment while waiting on 9.

I was released last night. Still alot of traffic trying to D/L this demo but mirror sites are being set up.

I downloaded the executable (all 80 megs of it). BTW the German site was the quickest, but I'm sure that changes by the minute.

I have only dabbled with a quick made part for about ten minutes or so.

The resolution of the opening movie was a bit low but the game graphics are good.

I like using just the keyboard. Maybe there is a mouse interface control but I didn't see it.

During PC generation I was stuck for a bit not understanding what to do until I realized that it was waiting for me to name my PC. The curser was not flashing.

The starting premise is to save a city from something ?evil?. I guess you have an option there.

Other than that I wandered around a bit and got half of my party killed by Orc's? The battle interface is OK but eh text scrolls by way to fast to know what is going on. Hopfully I can find a control for that.

Also I need to find a way to slow down the smooth scrolling as I travel. Using the curser keys, I just zip from point to point.

Anyway I gonna give some more time and see how it works.

It is sort of a hybrid of W6, 7 and 8.
