"Starting a new game"

I know it's been forever since anyone here has played the game but I just got it and need a bit of help.
I played for a bit and realized I wanted to start over to do things better now that I have a bit of a clue. But for the life of me I can't start a new game. I can revert, which I don't really understand other than I go to the begining with all my stuff. But how is it the begining if the quests I have done are still done? I just don't get it.
I even tried deleting everyone but my last guy ended up with all this stuff they said I needed and I can't get rid of him. But I don't want that stuff, I want to start over! Isn't there a new game button somewhere?
It can't really be this difficult can it? What am I missing?

Sherrie
Haven't slept yet, why start now?!

I just sent you a email...in reply to yours. I am of course, the Wizards and Warriors queen and pretty much know all the secrets and all the other stuff too.

Okay...you cannot start a new game...per se...not unless you reroll new characters, but you can RESET your ADVENTURES.

Before you load a game...click on the little button that looks like a computer. This will take you to the OPTION MENU. Find another button that says: RESET ADVENTURES, click on it and it will ask you to make sure that is what you want to do. It will remove all the magicakal stuff that is needed for the game and just leave you wil whatever gold you have, your armour and reset all your characters to the last level they achieved.

I believe if you want a new game you have to find the save file, it is in your Activision>>>Wizard&Warriors forlder>>>save folder...just delete the games, not the SAVEGAME file(that is important, do not delete)...the game file looks similar to this one...(game00.sav).

Then once you restart Wizards and Warriors...all that should be left is your characters in the Inn...not out on adventures. Yopu might want to save all the contents in you Save Folder before deleting, of course. I think the best idea...is just to hit the RESET ADVENTURES button. It takes you back to the Inn and restarts you from the beginning...

Hi.

I've had this game for two years now but had shelved it when going away to Korea to teach English. I'm beginning to pick it up again as I found it rather interesting if a little frustrating. Some questions....

When you change classes from say Wizard to Warlock can you still improve via training or practice the old skills such as Sun and Stone magic? If not is it worthwhile trying to max one before changing? I'd like to have access to most of the spells.

Did anyone ever find out how to go down ladders without taking the ultimate shortcut? Is this ever a real gamestopper?

Are there any good non swords?

Are ranged weapons worth it? I'm thinking of taking a ranger

When you change class...you can still improve on your magick skills...as long as you have at least a few points in each of them. They may not be as effective...if you went from a Priest to a Ninja or to a Ranger unless you had all the spells. You will get no more specialty skills when you change class. I will have to check that out, of course...but I think that if you are in a particular guild...you get to keep your guild membership and so by get new skills.

I get my athletics up to a 10 and notice that ladders induce alot less pain and suffering. I still haven't figured it out enough not to fall from that ladder...but after playing it through six times...I am getting better.

Good non-swords would be the elven bow...but you can make any non-sword item better by having you priest and mage bless the item and it will get better and better.

I prefer Kerah's sword to any weapon though...it doesn't break and it gives you a trait. But weapons go the way of the world...when you eventually make all your characters Zen Masters.

I hope that helps answer some questions...let me know if I can help some more.
