it works, disable download accelerator and download manager programs (like getright, download accellerator plus, GoZilla)
been a while since I posted the link.
also, let all the pop ups load completely. then click on the link (disable pop up killers temporarily)

I've got 1, with 2 Samurais, a Fighter, Thief, Mage (knows all preiest spells), priest (knows all mage spells), a Muramasa Blade, excellent armor and weapons, like 2 blade Cusinarts, Plate + 3 (E), plenty of Money (1 million GP+)
also, a Bishop is in the guild, for IDing items (how do you think I got so much money?)
but this is only for Wizardry 1. 2 and 3 are not yet started.

well my party now consists of a ninja, lord, samurai, three bishops. all members can cast all priest mage spells. i've the muramasa blade, shuriken, blade cusinart, armor of lords, armor of evil, shield of defense, helm of evil, gloves of silver, ring of healing, etc. the characters are about level 20.

that being my save, has all of levels 1-8 mapped out (6-8 are different than the PC version), all of level 10 (save 1 little corner spot that you can only get to by getting hit with a teleporter trap), and around 1/4-1/2 of level 9 (to map out all teleporters)
you can see how much you have mapped out, by casting, no not a Dumapic (which costs a spell point), but Malor, to see each and every single floor (don't press A when the checkmark is on the map), when finished looking, press B repeatedly.

Are you a lawyer? If not, you may want to read http://www.nintendo.com/corp/faqs/legal.html#what%20are%20ROMs before making legal claims.

they also claim that all emulators are illegal, so that Apple II Wizardry many people are using on their computers is illegal.
game is not commercially available, and was translated by fans of the game (albeit not perfectly, but definately suitable.
also N claims roms are illegal.
or at least claimed, as many Public Domain roms are in existance, that are freely made and distributed, after which Nintendo changed their wording.
take a look at US Copyright law, first, before jumping to conclusions
roms are legal, according to fair use policy in us copyright law
http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap1.html#107
while this game isn't yet Public Domain, it is old and not commercially available. Sir-tech being defunct now means they no longer make, or are going to make, any money on it.
besides, all copyright stuff is still unaltered.

how do you transfer characters between scenarios?

yes, complicated it is.
go to Scenario Change
select Wiz II
press A
choose "select switch" as it will default to Japanese, which you probably can't read.
select "Turbo File", which is a very strange option
select Wiz 1 file.
press A, copy Wiz 1 file to slot 2 (select slot 2, press A, press A again to confirm, as the japanese text is stuck there.
then, select each character to move over.
takes a while, if you have a ton of characters.
then, they will be in Gilgamesh's tavern. ADD them
if you wish to backup Wiz 2 character list, you can copy it to D1 or one of the bottum slots.
unfortunately, a lot of stuff doesn't transfer, if anything.
and, during my test, only 500 GP total was given to the characters
main thing - character stats are a bit better, and all characters have 12 HP. unfortunately most spells are lost.
so that thief -> ninja will be good. Lords as well.
