"W&W with Windows 7"

For some time i`ve been trying to get w&w to run on xp. On my old laptop, no Problem. On all other PCs, no Chance. Tried all the tricks of the Internet, without success.

Recently, i tried again with Windows 7. Applied the usual tricks and patches, and it works!

Toward the end of the game i met two strange bugs. The first started in Collasium, at the turning room. The room didn't turn, the entrance was blocked. When i returned later it had moved a Little.

After some time i found out that each time i clicked on a character potrait the room moved one Pixel Forward. well, after a lot of clicking i was able to complete Colassium.
The same happend at the doors of the pyramid after the three tablets had been replaced.

Second bug is a Crash at the end of the game when the Party should be teleported back to the City.

Any comments?

No comments, just applause for your perseverance I recall playing this game through the second time was much more enjoyable for me, knowing what to expect.

It's a wonderful game with strange bugs. The building-shaped dungeons are so well designed; the caves can be irritating but they have their great moments, too. I remember the door to Dragon Mountain (correct name?) being stuck on my laptop/Win 7. My solution was to use an external and older screen, where the door moved correctly.

Another frequent bug was like camera falling to the floor and getting stuck there. It happened often in the first dungeon after the lift (you may say elevator) had thrown the party in the upper corridor. Sometimes it happened if I bumped into a Dwarf in their caves. But at least saving game helped there.
