Granted, this is partly my fault since I'm playing on Expert mode.
Still, my party hasn't been able to do anything against his army without at least one of my characters dying within two rounds. It's looking like my only options are to either set the game on Easy or ignore him completely.

First, a maxed Nuclear Blast or two to clean out his compatriots.
Second, hide, hide, hide.
Once you are all hidden, you may take him out with cloud spells at no risk to your party.
He is fast and deadly, especially when doubled (expert mode). It is possible to take him without losing a character, but there is an element of luck involved.
