and besides, i didn't want to post it in the wiz 8 section. the wiz 8 forum is becoming a little ... shall we say, hectic. what happened to the quiet little community we had? ahh, but i digress as usual.

i'd like to take this time to describe my surreal experience of purchasing wizardry 8. during my lunch break i rushed to the local EB and bought wiz 8. i was able to keep my composure the entire time up until i left the store, at which point i couldn't stop smiling. i thought to myself that i must look like a goof - here, a grown man leaving a gaming store with a huge smile on his face - but i was proud! i remembered back to my younger days, leaving CompUSA with a similar box in my hand (wiz 7) and that same goofy smile on my face, and years before that as a child, hacking my way through the 10 levels of the proving grounds of the mad overlord.

from fight-fight-fight-parry-parry-parry to cruising through Dominus in 3d, the wizardry series will always hold a special place in my heart. i welcome the final chapter to a fantastic game.

Same situation with me got my copy on Nov 14

I drove 75 miles up and 75 back to get my copy.

Once I got the game I was in a state of shock that I had it.

An amazing feeling.
