"Explanation of Training"

I registered with VaultNetwork but can't get logged in to post for some reason.

Anyways, I understand the purpose of training but not some of the concepts.

For example...

How exactly does stealth training work?

Can someone give me the lowdown on this without going into technical slang?

basically, Stealth is practiced if the character is attacked. doesn't have to hit him/her or do any damage, merely to be the target of the attack. only physical attacks, however, due to the Armor Class thing.
so, all you need to do, is simply do nothing. when ppl refer to training stealth, they usually jsut mean, speed it up, by putting that character in front, cornering monsters (they seem to run more often as you improve stealth), and just standing there, with Continuous combat ON (normal is phased, which means you can take your good old time, but this pauses battle; continuous means it keeps going), and raising battle speed and monster movement rate to as high as they go. an occasional Stanima on the monsters helps both the caster's water magic and divinity/psionics/alchemy, as well as keeps the battle going.
unfortunately, enemies get scared when your stealth is high (70+) which makes it tougher to find them to further increase stealth.

And don't forget, it helps you not get hit if you are in Defend mode, and arm a shield.

As to your next questioon, no Stealth training without combat.

..and further on stealth..

So the 'advanced tactics' people are talking about (trapping monsters, pulling them in, keeping them just at range, etc) is just for keeping combat going so you can train in stealth.

You can't train stealth outside of combat?
