I've got a problem with the game and i dont know if this board is the right place to post this but.... I just bought the game and the install went fine but when i start and pick my party when it goes to the load screen that says (The time for asencion* is at hand!) the screen crashes and goes back to the desktop with an error reading(Debug C:\projects\wizardry8\localscreens\pleasewaitscreen.ccp line failed
I really wish to play the game and with this occuring even after i've installed patches and reinstalled the game nothing seems to allow me past the point
Please help

One thing you might try is installing on another computer. If the game crashes there as well, I'd bring the discs back to your friendly dealer

What kind of system are you on - does it support everything needed and are your drivers up-to-date?

Tools for Wizardry(r) 7

Here's two places worth checking out:

Sir-Tech's Wizardry Common Issues / Reported Problems page:
http://www.wizardry8.com/support/index.html#CommonProblems

Sir-Tech's Wizardry 8 Technical Support Forum: (search a bit before posting anything, likely someone has already reported similar problems and has been given a fix)
