While trying to do the shooting range portion of the Umpani quests Sgt. Rubble finishes his speech then the game throws me to the desktop where I get to read this "MonScript MoveRubble.msf Line 2: Unknown location NP_RUBBLE". After that the game closes down. I've uninstalled once (didn't reset the computer) then reinstalled. Should I have restarted the computer before reloading to maybe fix the issue that way or is there something else that can be done? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had the exact bug that you are getting. You will notice that he is giving you the same speech in the shooting range as when you first met him. So when he finishes the speech in the shooting range, he tries to move like he did when you first met him. But this time there is no where to move. I believe this is why the game crashes.

I had to load a save game before I first talked to Rubble. If you initiate with the "lips" instead of clicking the pass on Rubble, then the error should not happen. I do not know of a way to fix the error. If you do not wish to reload, then you will not be able to do certain Umpani missions.

I didn't have a save available from back when I first started. I tried porting out and back in and found he still did it. Seeing the lips on him while the port was being cast gave me the idea to try and talk to him after I ported. It worked out somehow as when I ported back in next to him he gave me the right speech and the rocket launcher. Thanks for your added info though on how to avoid other possible bug encounters in the future.

Hi, I have the same problem. I'm playing ironman so I cannot reload to a previous save (and I wouldn't want to either, since I completed ALOT of other quests in between.) I will try to put a portal on him or next to him and tele back once my bishop has 60 in some skill. Is that what you did to get it fixed?
