Take care Z, I grew up in SD and know what it is like when the wildfires really get burning.

looks like from julian to warner springs/lake henshaw/ palomar mtn may soon be erased from the map....not to mention what has already burned....ramona to to the coast just about

"More than 1,000 homes throughout the county were listed as lost as a result of the fires.

"These fires haven't just flared up today. They have raged up," said San Diego County Sheriff Bill Kolender, who called the ongoing crisis "the greatest fire tragedy in the history of this county."" ....SD Union Tribune

Not to mention the fires in La/san bernadino counties that we in SD are not hearing much about.........

Whenever I think (or recall my one trip there as a kid) of San Diego, I think of "big city" .. not rural or mountainous where you would have wildfires of this scale ... that is where I live (up north in the Placer County foothills).

Hey Zaphod...LTNS!

I am originally from San Bernardino. I have relatives who lived in Big Bear that got evacuated. I know someone who lives in Simi Valley who sent pics of the fires out back of his house.

Tis a shame...and here in AZ we got your smoke and burnings. Yucky...not good for this little wenchie who has asthma.
