I'm getting that itch to play again, but am on Windows 10. Has anyone found a way to get Wiz to work on Win10 yet? And if so, can I get some instructions and links please?

CoDS works well under DosBox/Win10. Didn't try Wiz Gold.

Yeah, I did get it working, thank you. The trouble was finding the w7 download somewhere that didn't feel like a virus planting site...

I ended up getting it from bestoldgames.net

Tried a virtual drive for Gold (so I could play from CD), but had .dll problems, so W7 it is.

Well, there is a tread on this forum entitled (11 years old ?) :

"Instructions how to setup the Wizardry Gold in DOSBOX"

and it is still available :

http://www.softwarespecialties.com/dcforum/DCForumID6/1158.html

It is supposed to give instruction how to setup a copy of Win 3.1 running in DosBox, which can then run WizGold. Never tried it, considering WizGold an inferior product (versus W7 for DOS).

Still, it is worth mentioning as a curiosity and it is another example how people cared of this game.

I once managed to get Norton Commander working for Dosbox. Just with three clicks I find a list of my games in "Oldgames" folder. Thereafter it functions like Windows Explorer (or Dos). This may be the link:
