Hi folks,I've been lurking on this board for several years now (been playing since '92!) and finally have a question:
Do the T'Rang ever attack Ukpyr before you get to General Yamo? I feel like once a long time ago (and this may have been mid-90s, so I was on a 386 as opposed to the Mac I'm using now to play it on Steam), I went to Ukpyr and the bombing started immediately, and the game moved my party square-by-square over to Yamo's office, where I got the Thermal Pineapple just before he died. I hadn't even been a recruit yet, it just happened while I was there.
Flash forward to present day, I'm playing the game yet again, and decided I'd do some leveling up at Ukpyr. Now they all hate me, and in fact I think I probably killed Sgt. Balbrak. If I hang around long enough, will the T'rang eventually bomb Ukpyr, or am I eternally missing the pineapple?
Side note, I've had tons of questions over the years, so I'm sure this will not be my last post.
Thanks in advance,
Y.B.T.
LAST EDITED ON Jun-23-17 AT 07:00 AM (Pacific)The Cosmic Forge says that if the party is attacked by General Yamo, which would happen in your game, the "incident 64" is deactivated. Incident 64 is the conversation with the general ending in the T'Rang attack. Thermal Pineapple isn't in Yamo's loot, either. It is strange to note that seemingly SirTech didn't cover this possibility.
Edit: Second thoughts: Perhaps it's just logical. If the player destroys Ukpyr, there's no need for T'Rang attack.
