"My Toilet Paper personality test"

LAST EDITED ON Feb-06-05 AT 08:46 AM (Pacific)

I've decided that there are 4 kinds of people in the world, based on my own observations of their interaction with toilet paper.

1. "Normal" - will put the roll on whichever way it happens to randomly go on (roll forwards for more, or roll backwards for more .. or in other words, looking at it from the side, do you roll it clockwise or counter-clockwise to get more ...)

I don't think there are many of these ...

2. OCD - Have to put the roll on the "right way" every time. There is a subtle diistinction in this category of "type A" and "type B" (or it can arbitrarily be type 1 and 2). Some are the roll forwards, some are the roll backwards ... each has their reasons why their way is right and better ... just like Democrat vs. Republican, or Ford vs. Chevy/GM (except in that case, Chevy/GM is actually better )

There are a lot of these ... more than you might think.

3. Neurotic - If the roll is on the "wrong" way, they will take it off and put it on the right way ... even at someone else's house.

There are probably more of these than you think.

4. Deviant - Those people that know a type 3 person and will take the "right" roll off and turn it around the "wrong" way, just so the type 3 person will have to turn them around again.

This is a fairly select "group" ... as I only know of one person that fits this category - me (yes, my wife is type 3)

LMAO!

That's great Llev!!! You might add one more group to the list. A group that I am a proud member of. Can you guess?

Those that abstain from the use of TP?

or 5. Commitment-challenged. Just take the wrapper off, don't put the roll on the roller, becuase then you would have to decide which group you are in.

I don't have enough experience with this category, but I imagine it can be broken down into two sub-groups:

a) Commitment Challenged
b) Just plain lazy (this is me, when not being deviant )

How about those of us that leave the roll on top of the dowel instead of putting it on the dowel at all?

"Well, that depends ...."

Do you put on top of the dowel facing left or right

I figure that qualifies for the lazy catergory ... where I usually am, when not being deviant.

*looks around to see if anyone is looking*

Most of the time it is #2...the rest of the time it is #3...I am sad to say.

Read somewhere (possibly Zippy) that 3/4 of us go over the top and 1/4 go under. Seems to me like most of the population fits #3. Hotels and motels actually train people on which way to do this -- over the top, BTW. Weird what people will obsess on.
