I jumped through a hole looking for treasure under Mt. Gigas. It's the hole that has a lake. Now I can't find the way back up. Can anyone tell me where to go?

I don't visit the caves often, since I think it is the only tedious area in the game. I think there is a way up on the shores of the lake but I can't recall how it was activated, was it a rope or something else.

Go to the lake and at the side opposite the entrance there are some large rocks. One of those has a rope ladder above it. There is also a chest near there.

Well, I managed to find the ladder you mentioned. I also had a Set Portal that I could have used (now that I think about it). I'm happy I found the ladder though. Thanks!
