I accidentently saved a game while my main character was "missing" Can I get it back and if so how?

Is this a Mook that visited the Mook Embassy ? Just sleep a few times, he will come back.
Did someone get swallowed during combat ? FIND THE SWALLOWER NOW AND KILL IT then resurrect the character when you find their digested remains inside the body.
Did you pick up a statue ? Check the floor for clues about the kidnapper.
